ئهڤ ڤهكولینه خواندنهكه بو بكارئینانا فیلهران ژ لایێ خوێندهڤانێن كورد یێن پشكا زمانێ ئینگلیزیێ و پهیوهندیا وان ب رههوانبێژیا ئاخفتنێ. بو بدهسڤهئینانا داتایان، 80 خوێندهڤانێن پشكا زمانێ ئینگلیزیێ (كچ و كور) ژ زانكویێن دهوك و زاخو ل قوناغێن ئێكێ و چارێ هاتنه ههلبژارتن. رێكێن میتودولوژى یێن گشتى ئهوێن كو پوتهر و وێزهرێل (1987) و فێركلو (1995) و ڤاندایك (1997) لدویڤ چووین بو مهرهما دهرئێخستنا داتایان ژ سیاقێ ئاخفتنێ هاتنه پهیرهوكرن. بو دیاركرنا جورێن فیلهران، پولینكرنا روزى (1998) هاته بكارئینان، كو فیلهران دكهته دوو جور: فیلهرێن دهنگدار و فیلهرێن پهیڤدار. ههروهسا پهیوهندیا دناڤبهرا فیلهران و ئاستێ شیانێن ئاخفتنا خوێندهڤانان برێكا روبریكهكا ئاخفتنێ هاته دیاركرن. ئهنجامان وهسا ئاشكرا كو فیلهرێن پهیڤدار یێن كو ژلایێ خوێندهڤانێن كوردڤه ل پشكێن زمانێ ئینگلیزیێ هاتینه گوتن سێ جارا هندى فیلهرێن دهنگدار بوون. رێژا ههره بلند یا فیلهرێن دهنگدار بو ههردوو فیلهرێن uh "ئێ" و um "ئم" بو، بهلێ فیلهرێن پهیڤدار وهكى and، so، yeah، و yes ژ ههمیا پتر هاتنه گوتن. دهربارهى شیانێن ئاخفتنێ، ئهنجامان وهسا دیاركر كو فیلهر نیشانن بو ئاستێن شیانا ئاخفتنێ یێن نزم و ناڤین. ئانكو ههرچهنده فیلهر ل ئاستێن بلندژى دهێنه بكارئینان، بهلێ هندى ئاستێ شیانا ئاخفتنێ بلندتر بیت، بكارئینانا فیلهران كێمتر لێ دهێت.
