Although science fiction has a long history in western literature, the appearance of the term was at the beginning of twentieth century. There were many texts before twentieth century, which were behind the appearance of the term. There are several reasons behind the emergence of this genre, such as: scientific development and the Industrial Revolution. The emergence of this genre in the societies whose scientifically and industrially undeveloped, was late, and this could be the reason behind its delayed in Bahdinan too. ‘Mrovê Beleçek (dried man) * could be the first science fiction in Bahdinan and because of this, the paper attempted to illustrate concept and properties of this genre in general. Furthermore, it identified features of the novel ‘Mrovê Beleçek. Because the science fiction is a kind of reconciliation between science and literature, consequently, this paper examined the questions: Does the novel ‘Mrovê Beleçekrepresent the writhing degree zero? Does the writer maintain the features of literature in the novel? Because the science fiction became an independent literary genre in western literature, the paper depends on its notion and features. Through exploring the abovementioned questions, it became clear that the language of the novel in some paragraphs is about to be the writing degree zero, but in general the literary language has taken a wide space in the novel. in addition, in terms of the style, content and the elements of novel, both sides, science and literature have been maintained. Each side has served the other in good way. Finally, it can be inferred from the analyses that the literature has taken a wide space in the novel and science has been employed to serve literature. * The translation of ‘beleçek to dried could be inaccurate, because beleçek means dried melon slices.
