This article sheds light on the tribes attitude to the emirs of Bahdinan in Zakho in the sixteenth century. As; tribe is being one of the fundamental key of restraints of Kurdish society in the midst of the Kurdish nation for a long time. This tribe is being an identification and continuation of each other also many times this element of society was being a political function when the tribe’s son participated in political events through his tribe’s identity. The Kurdish and non-Kurdish researchers, specifically orientalists and travelers have paid more attention to the Kurdish tribe and the Kurdish community’s life, nonetheless that attention was principally taken into account in a small amount in the nineteenth century. It is noteworthy to point out that the academic materials upon the Kurdish tribes in the first century of the Ottoman power is so limited, the reason of that there is a few authentic references on the Kurds’ history. Further, those resources have taken some aspects of Kurdish history into account; they mostly concentrated on the political aspect and sometime clarified the Kurdish society’s circumstance among the political events. This study explores the tribes of Zakho and their political roles in that area in thesixteenth century, which was so-called a “sensitive century”. This study entirely concentrates on the Ottoman documents, records and authentic references
