Planning to establish an electronic library in the academic Libraries

This study discusses the findings of the scientific researches that dealt with the e-library in terms of concept, development, importance, basic components and human and material requirements, in order to reach results that would suggest scientific planning to create a comprehensive electronic library in academic libraries to meet the information needs of the academic community of faculty members. Students and staff, and support the educational process, especially distance learning programs and research and advisory programs. The study discussed three basic stages in the proposed plan for the establishment of the electronic library, which is the stage of preparation and processing, the stage of implementation, completion of the project and the launch phase of the service. Each of these stages included information and details on how to create and develop an electronic library in the academic library. The study came out with the following results:That the initiation of the electronic library building depends on many elements that should be available in order to achieve the desired elements of success. Joint cooperation and material and human support are essential elements in the e-library project. Benefit from the experiences of others in similar libraries
